WASHINGTON, UNITED STATES
"Osteal is a small, independent business, operating out of a modest studio in rural Washington. My partner and I strive to be responsible, sustainable and as cruelty free as possible in all aspects of life (a constant struggle in this modern world of disposable culture).
Our selection of bones and plant materials depends on luck, time of year and what nature chooses to give. We treat all of the items we gather from the wild with honor and respect and take only what we can use - always leaving some for natures other scavengers.
We collect trash we find in the woods while collecting bones, we pull up fishing line and hooks from the riverbanks as we gather cedar and vertebrae; in these ways hope to thank the Earth for the treasures we find.
Osteal does not buy 'bulk' bones & only uses secondhand/salvaged leather. We try our best to use recycled, recyclable and reusable materials, packaging and containers."
++ Osteal is against animal cruelty, trophy hunting, trapping, fur farms, factory meat farms and breeding facilities.
